This is book 4 of the All For Love series but each book is a stand alone novel and you needn't have read the earlier ones to get full enjoyment of this one. This is a totally stand alone story but has some of the same characters as in the first books.

Tiffany Parker is to be married in France and will be staying at her parents' French home for two weeks before the nuptuals so that she can prepare for her big day. Each evening, Tiffany opens her heart to her diary, and we learn from the very first pages that she is not marrying Luke for love but only to spare her parents from wasting such a lot of money on her flamboyant wedding. During those two weeks, Tiffany re-acquaints herself with a family she met a couple of years ago, and her mother, Freda, has an expensive wardrobe makeover, all for the sake of Tiffany's dream wedding. These two weeks are pivotal in Tiffany's life and after sickness, tragedy and a lot of heartbreak, the secrets held by Tiffany's diary re-align her stars. There are two or three sub stories going on around Tiffany's matrimonial event, and for those who have read Patricia Dixon's previous books, you will meet with old favourites like Rosie and Michel and, of course, Anna and Daniel as well as Anna's three children – Mel, Sam and Joe. Daniel has his own surprise in store for Anna, but Anna has to sort out the war zone of Daniel's dreadful daughter, Louise. The setting in rural France is seductive and, with a little eye closing and imagination, you feel transported to the very villages and fields with the hot sun on your back. Patricia Dixon's writing has become more confident and she sets out a good solid storyline with competence and skill. Her characters are well drawn and written with warmth and emotion. They feel so very real, like people you know and would be friends with. I couldn't see a happy way to end this story but it was carefully and realistically told to give a satisfying, down-to-earth finale. All the characters were thoroughly put to bed by the end of the book and overall, I found it a real pleasure to read.
